Role and responsibility
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Showplace for a Trailer Operative. Ideally, you will be interested in the exhibition industry and be physically fit. This is a hands-on practical role that will suit an individual who wants to work with their hands. The role does involve occasional weekend working and stays away. Although the majority of events are in the UK, we do occasionally operate in Europe and this will involve driving abroad.
Key skills required for the role:General
Drive and set up exhibition trailers as directed
Liaise with clients on-site as required
Make project managers/operations manager aware of any issues that arise on-site
Complete daily vehicle inspections and fill out daily mileage sheet
Adhere to tacho rules
Responsibility for the pre-deliver preparation of the trailer before departing for the event
Re-stock consumables in the trailer
Responsibility to check the trailer on collection and note any damage to the unit
Assist with the maintenance of trailers in the yard
Use T sheets to log working hours (on-line time sheet)
Use Quip to upload photographs of the trailer on-site
Report any faults or issues with the trailer to the transport manager
Work with, and in, other departments of the business as required
Essential requirements
Cat C1 + E
Driver Qualification Card (Current CPC)
Driver Card (Digi Tacho)
Health & safety
To work in a safe manner
Always use the PPE provided and adhere to all site, yard and workshop rules
Only use tools and plant as directed and that you have been suitably trained to operate
Stop and report any misuse of any health and safety rule or non-compliance with regards to PPE
